But instead of the Evo designation, it just has a “Special Edition” badge. What say you, Oppo?

If that's not a real Evo, that's the most thorough replica in existence. In other words, definitely an Evo. Me wants.

The plate comes back to nothing.

I know, I ran the carfax.
The plate itself is brilliant though.

Bullshit. There’s now way James May would DD this thing.

The plate. Car has to be real.

It’s a real Evo. If it were not a real Evo, it’d look a ricer type of sporty, rather than functional sporty.

Did it have Brembo, Recaro and Momo on/in it? Considering the outside is on par with the USDM EVO IX (not the MR, no fog lights), then if the inside matches up it’s a sure thing.

It’s clearly a de-badged Evo IX, which had an SE (Special Edition) trim:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mitsubish…
The ‘04 Lancer, on which body style the Evo VIII and IX were based, doesn’t have flared quarters. So literally every piece of bodywork—save perhaps the doors—would have to be replaced. Including the quarters.

Recaro racing buckets I think.

As far as I know, the Evo IX got rid of these vortex generators.

Yeah, that’s a IX. Looks like they smoked the tail lights and changed from a silver to red Motsubishi badge.
I took my VIII out tonight. After 13 years of ownership I still love that car.

i’m inclined to say genuine due to wider fenders , taillamps , bodykit.
